CCSSA Condemns the murder of colleague Dr A Munshi September 18, 2020

The Council and members of CCSSA strongly condemn the murder of colleague and friend, Dr Abdulhay Munshi.  Dr Munshi was a valued and respected clinician with a distinguished career.

We send our heartfelt condolences to Dr Munshi’s family, colleagues and loved ones.

We believe that this attack brings into focus the vulnerability of health care professionals, who are increasingly being targeted by patients and their families following an adverse health outcome.  It also emphasises the unacceptably high levels of violent crime in the country.

As a demonstration of our grief and as a show of solidarity, we request that all members of CCSSA wear an armband today, 18th September.
